So Why Are You Settling For Your Comfort Zone?

 In Uncategorized

So many today settle for their “Comfort Zone” when they could experience the Godly Prosperity like Job 36:11. You really can do more, dream bigger and experience the extraordinary life that Jesus came to give you! Are you waking up every day, just like you did last year HOPING for change, but starting to feel like you’re in for more and more of the same? You’ve got both fingers crossed, and your arms crossed, and your toes and legs crossed… you’ve even got your eyes crossed… and you’ve still getting pounded?

Think of your favorite biblical character or person from church history. Before they were “well-known” they were unknown. The Lord takes nobodies and makes them somebody all by His grace. The Bible shows over & over that God uses ordinary people in Extraordinary ways for His glory. At first, it may seem that statement isn’t quite right and you may not believe it. After all aren’t only “super Christians” used by God?” You may be thinking, “I’m just a layperson what can God do with you?” Rather than thinking in terms of whether or not you have a seminary degree or extensive ministry experience. There are many examples in the bible who didn’t settle from Moses, to Noah to Paul. But the one example of not settling I want to remind you of  is Abraham.

Terah the father of Abraham desired to relocate his family from Ur to Canaan, yet he settled for Haran. In truth, we live at whatever level we settle for. God then spoke to Terah’s son, Abraham, saying, “Leave your father’s household and go…” Abraham didn’t stay where his father settled for! He got out of his comfort zone & look at what he accomplished for the Kingdom? Your story may be completely different from that, but whatever gift, talent, & ability God has given you—use it for His glory.

For many of us, the reason we don’t truly prosper is because we settle too much. We’re not walking by faith. When you stop settling for what you can do or just follow the examples of those around you and take a step of faith. You will realize God’s plans for you are so much better than your own, you won’t want to live by site anymore. God is not a God of affirmation, he’s a God of transformation. Jesus accepts us just as we are, but he loves us too much to leave us that way. He want not just the best for us. But the best version of us!

“…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” Phil 3:13

Let’s meditate on this throughout the day… and let’s answer the question:
